It has been a long time coming, but the open source software development project now known as the Bentokit Project was launched at the 2008 Community Broadcasting Association of Australia conference in Alice Springs, Australia. There was a lot of interest from radio station technologists and managers alike, indicating a lot of promise for the project.
If you were there, thankyou for your time and enthusiasm. Please put your email address into the announcement mailing lists to receive news updates as we move into 2009 and towards the release of the software. In the meantime a forum, wiki, FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and other resources are in the works, and we'd like to continue the dialogue started at the conference with everyone else.
